In Over 100 years, MLB Playoff Game Sees Lowest Attendance

Rangers vs. Rays via MLB.

The Tampa Bay Rays began the MLB postseason against the Texas Rangers, but it was not a playoff atmosphere at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Tropicana Field has long struggled with low attendance compared to other MLB teams, and this trend continued during the postseason opener.

Only 19,704 fans witnessed the Rays’ 4-0 loss to the Rangers.

This marked the lowest postseason attendance since 1919. (Trending: As Fauci’s Net Worth Surpasses $11 Million, Americans Take A Closer Look At His Disturbing Lies)

Despite the Rays’ impressive postseason track record, including a 2020 World Series run, fan support at Tropicana Field has been consistently low.

The franchise aims to improve attendance at its upcoming $1.6 billion, 30,000-seat future ballpark.
