Arnold Schwarzenegger still claims himself a Republican, which many find hard to believe after the actor-politician told Americans “screw your freedom” during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a recent interview, the former Republican governor of California stated that he would still be welcomed by the party today.
Schwarzenegger called out both parties in the interview for what he views as “dumping” on their opponents, and said “to me it’s funny, because I’m somewhere in the middle.” (Trending: Navy SEAL Says Joe Biden Is A Disgrace

He went on to say, “Yes. There is a home for me in the Republican Party,” despite his embrace of abortion, vaccines, and mask-wearing.
Schwarzenegger has also claimed that the Trump Administration is similar to that of Hitler’s Nazi Party.
In the same interview, the “Terminator” star would go on to criticize GOP lawmakers, stating, “You’re not supposed to represent only your district; you’re also supposed to represent the state and move the state forward and work with everyone in order to make life better.”

The self-proclaimed Republican then brought up abortion.

“It’s like, I would not get involved in an abortion, but I would never stop anyone from having an abortion,” he remarked.
“I have my more conservative beliefs about things, but it doesn’t mean that I’m forcing that on anyone else. That’s not the way to do it. If a majority of people want to have the right to choose, then the only thing we really have to identify is, OK, when should be the cutoff?”
Schwarzenegger ultimately apologized for his “screw your freedom” comment, but was called out by many for making the apology just before the promotion of several large events he was hosting.
