Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and billionaire Elon Musk have butted heads once again after the Tesla founder referred to her as “just not that smart,” after Ocasio-Cortez compared the current crisis at the border with the likes of Ellis Island.
“The numbers — when it comes to people coming to New York City today — are nothing, I’m telling you, nothing, compared to the daily amounts of people that we saw coming in through Ellis Island in the first half of [last] century,” Ocasio-Cortez stated on social media.

“We had seen just huge numbers of people coming in per day that far eclipsed what we’re seeing right now.”
The Representative was blasted on Musk’s platform X, after the video went viral.
This is when Musk took to X, saying, “She’s just not that smart.”

In 2022, Musk commented on her post that read, “some billionaire with an ego problem” by sarcastically stating, “Stop hitting on me, I’m really shy.”
“I was talking about Zuckerberg but ok,” Ocasio-Cortez responded. She would later delete the tweet.
Over 100,000 illegal immigrants have crossed the US-Mexico border since the spring of last year, overwhelming cities such as New York.
Eric Adams, Mayor of New York City, recently warned that it will take well over $10 billion to adequately care for the migrants over the next few years.
“US sanctions that were originally authored by Marco Rubio … certainly took a large part in the driving of populations to our southern border,” Ocasio Cortez recently stated. (Trending: Democrat Abruptly Leaves Party, Joins GOP)
She then pressed that the recent issues at the border came “shortly after those broad-based sanctions were enacted.”
Later on, however, the former bartender would admit that Venezuelan President and known socialist Nicolás Maduro is “absolutely” to blame as well.
