Democrats are suggesting critics of Joe Biden are “conspiracy theorists” for promoting his impeachment.
White House aides and Democrats vehemently denied the existence of any grounds to initiate an impeachment inquiry against Biden.
Biden is facing mounting pressure over his involvement in his family’s corrupt overseas business dealings.
These allegations range from meetings and phone calls to allegations of bribery connected to Hunter Biden’s business associates.
Democrats categorically label these claims as “conspiracy theories” insufficient to warrant an impeachment inquiry.
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy raised the possibility of launching an impeachment inquiry as early as late September, contingent on House Republicans’ decisions.
McCarthy clarified that a formal vote on the House floor would be required to initiate such an inquiry, providing lawmakers with special authority to compel pertinent information for the Biden family investigation.
A White House adviser expressed skepticism about the Republican impeachment strategy, stating, “The only problem with [Republicans’] impeachment strategy is they have absolutely no grounds for impeaching the president.”
A Democrat closely associated with the Biden campaign dismissed the allegations as recycled attacks, asserting, “Republicans tried a lot of these hits in 2020 and they failed.
But in a bid for Trump’s 2024 campaign and to exact political revenge, these same Republicans are peddling the same debunked conspiracy theories that have been talked about for about five years.”
White House spokesperson Ian Sams echoed these sentiments, characterizing the impeachment endeavor as “baseless” and warning that it could backfire on congressional Republicans.
He cited the consensus among fellow Republicans that there is no evidence to support the allegations.
While the White House resists an inquiry, it has established a “war room” to counter congressional investigations into the President and his family.
This war room comprises legal experts, legislative staff, and communication aides, who maintain frequent contact with House Democratic leadership to prepare for potential proceedings.
These developments unfold against the backdrop of ongoing allegations against Joe Biden, including the recent revelation that the National Archives possesses approximately 5,400 emails and records linked to Biden’s email aliases.
House Judiciary Committee member Harriet Hageman asserted, “There is more than enough evidence to open an inquiry into Biden Corruption LLC,” emphasizing that additional evidence has emerged since she first called for an impeachment inquiry.
Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene expressed her strong views on the matter, stating, “We’re literally in a crisis in this country if we cannot vote for an impeachment inquiry with yet another bombshell news story about the corruption and the secretive nature of Joe Biden.”
The allegations against Joe Biden encompass a range of evidence, including suspicious wire transfers, texts, emails, WhatsApp messages, photos with Hunter’s business associates, voicemail recordings, and whistleblower testimonies.
The evidence also includes FBI forms alleging recorded communications, informant allegations of bribery, video footage of Biden discussing firing a Ukrainian prosecutor, and Hunter’s statements about financial contributions to his father.
