COLLAPSING: Anheuser-Busch Agrees To $85M Deal To Sell Off Eight Beer Brands

The downward spiral of Anheuser-Busch continues as the company hits a new low.

Bud Light’s parent company has agreed to sell eight of its craft beer brands to Tilray Brands. This will cut down the company’s craft beer portfolio.

In exchange for $85 million, a Canadian cannabis company named “Tilray” will purchase Brewery, Blue Point Brewing Company, 10 Barrel Brewing Company, Redhook Brewery, Widmer Brothers Brewing, Square Mile Cider Company and Hiball Energy. The deal is expected to be finalized in September 2023 per Tilray 8-K filing. (POLL: Is Joe Biden Fit to be President? Results Are In…)

Anheuser-Busch isn’t simply selling the brands, but also the brands’ employees, breweries, and associated brewpubs.

Anheuser-Busch also announced it has begun significant layoffs following the nationwide backlash and boycotts against the company. The beer company has laid off roughly 350 employees. It’s unclear if more layoffs are incoming as company sales have tanked. So far, Anheuser-Busch has reportedly fired 2% of its U.S. workforce, primarily in corporate and marketing roles. In April 2023, Bud Light sponsored transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney by celebrating Mulvaney’s one-year anniversary of “womanhood.” Bud Light produced beer cans to honor Mulvaney’s transition from male to female.

However, it appears that former Bud Light employees are finding work at self-described “Pro-American” companies.

“Public Sq. and RedBalloon are the two organizations swooping in to scoop off recently laid off Anheuser-Busch workers, of which there were many,” the report found. (Trending: Disney Just Pulled A Bud Light…)

Michael Seifert, the CEO of PublicSq., said, “We hope that this results in more and more positive actions that hopefully send a strong counteracting message to the actions of Bud Light over the past few months. It’s pretty amazing to witness this parallel economy that’s emerging that’s based upon meritocracy and excellence.”

With the historic collapse of Bud Light, other brands are looking to expand their market share and staff. Conservative job hunter RedBalloon and patriotic online marketplace PublicSq. are offering to help unemployed Bud Light workers find work at “pro-America businesses.”

“We’re sorry that Anheuser-Busch leadership prioritized left-wing ideology over sound business practices,” an open letter stated from RedBalloon. “You are the ones that suffer for Bud Light’s disastrous decision.”

“People like to say ‘go woke, go broke’ and in reality, the economic consequences rarely fall on the wealthy liberals that make the woke decision. Both PublicSq. and Red Balloon will distribute your resumes to our respective networks of tens of thousands of pro-America businesses,” the letter added.

Bud Light also fired its marketing vice president, Alissa Heinerscheid, following the disaster with Mulvaney. A video surfaced of Heinerscheid criticizing the brand’s consumer base as “fratty” and “out of touch humor.” (Trending: FBI Caught Lying For Hunter Biden)

“We had this hangover, I mean Bud Light had been kind of a brand of fratty, kind of out of touch humor, and it was really important that we had another approach,” she said in the video. The company has reportedly lost billions of dollars as the stock price has dropped more than 12% since partnering with Mulvaney.

CEO Brendan Whitworth said, “While we never take these decisions lightly, we want to ensure that our organization continues to be set for future long-term success.”

“These corporate structure changes will enable our teams to focus on what we do best—brewing great beer for everyone,” he said in a statement.

Political commentator David Hookstead responded, “Turns out, people really don’t appreciate a beer brand doing ad deals with a person whose shtick seems to be mocking women and behaving like a child. Whoever could have seen that coming?”

Bud Light was once the best-selling beer in the U.S. and it has fallen from its position as one of the country’s top 10 most popular beers. According to a YouGov survey, Bud Light was previously the ninth most popular beer in America. Now it’s fallen out of the coveted top ten. Bud Light has been surpassed by other brands, such as Pabst Blue Ribbon, Miller Genuine Draft, and Miller Lite.
