Media Dedicates 332 Minutes On Third Trump Indictment, But Look What They Did For Biden

Polls show that many Americans do not trust the mainstream media — and for good reason.

A 2023 Gallup poll found that only 36% of Americans have a great deal or fair amount of trust in major news outlets. This is the second lowest level of trust in the media since Gallup began tracking this question in 1997.

Since the evening of August 1st, when former President Donald Trump was indicted on criminal charges for the third time, major news outlets have spent over five hours or roughly 332 minutes covering the indictment. This includes ABC, CBS, and NBC, according to a study by Newsbusters. (Trending: Trump Releases ‘Ad of the Year’)

During the same time frame, the mainstream media spent only four minutes and 50 seconds covering Joe and Hunter Biden’s international bribery scandal.

When comparing this difference, Newsbusters found that the mainstream media spent aired negative coverage of Trump roughly 69 times more than Biden.

“Last time, we found the Trump coverage was 19 times larger than what was allotted to the closed-door House testimony from Hunter Biden’s former business partner, Devon Archer (eight minutes and 32 seconds),” the report found. “Fast-forward through Tuesday morning and that ratio exploded to roughly 39 times larger (or 38.9).”

“Worse yet, these networks have yet to spend a single second on the allegations of bribery against now-President Biden and the Ukrainian energy company, Burisma,” the report added. (Trending: FBI Caught Lying For Hunter Biden)

The biggest factor causing Americans to distrust the mainstream media is this sort of blatant political bias. The mainstream media is accused of heavily leaning Democratic and spinning a political narrative that favors their personal views.

Moreover, with the rise of social media, Americans can easily find alternative news sources. A 2023 YouGov poll found that Americans trust The Weather Channel more than the mainstream media.

Fox News is currently the most-watched cable news network in the US with millions of daily viewers.

Pew Research Center found that 68% of Republicans said they got their news from Fox News most often, while only 12% said they got their news from CNN and 10% said they got their news from CBS News.
