7 CNN Employees Who Were Forced Out In Disgrace

An investigative report from Daily Wire details how Americans have witnessed the scandal-plagued network at CNN force out a number of former employees in disgrace. This includes anchor Chris Cuomo, president Jeff Zucker, senior producer John Griffin, producer Rick Saleeby, supervising producer Steve Brusk, host Elliot Spitzer, and legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin.

CNN founder Ted Turner reportedly once complained about news networks spending too much time reporting on perverts. “We have a lot of perverts on today and I know that, but is that really news?” Turner said in 2005. “You’ve got to cover Michael Jackson, but not three stories about perversion that we do every day as well.”

Nearly two decades later, troubling allegations stemming from Turner’s own company suggest that some of the “perverts” moved in-house. Specifically, sexual allegations against former CNN Senior Producer John Griffin are deeply disturbing. In 2021, Griffin was fired after being charged with attempting to induce young girls into sexual activity. (Trending Now: Trump Indicted Again On Criminal Charges)

Griffin allegedly flew young girls across the country to meet him. In one instance, he allegedly transferred over $3,000 to the mother of a 9-year-old so the two of them could fly from Nevada to Boston. Griffin faces numerous felony charges which carry a 10-year prison sentence each.

An undercover operation by Project Veritas revealed serious allegations against former CNN Producer Rick Saleeby, who allegedly fantasized about raping children.

A video of Saleeby exposed him as an alleged child predator in late 2021 through texts and FaceTime videos, which sparked an official investigation by the Fairfax County Police. Saleeby resigned from CNN and Fairfax police say they “will eventually be transparent about our findings, safeguarding the personal privacy and safety of victims and witnesses as well as maintaining the integrity of our criminal investigation are of paramount importance.”

Former CNN Host Elliot Spitzer was caught in a New York prostitution ring. He resigned in 2008 after he was busted making seven trips to the high-end prostitution ring and spending over $15,000. Prosecutors believe he spent closer to $80,000. Spitzer was never charged because he never misused public funds or campaign funds.

Former CNN Supervising Producer Steve Brusk is accused of “making advances” at female employees. He allegedly would “put his arms around them,” “try and touch their leg,” and was “flirty and inappropriate.” This sexual misconduct was allegedly exposed in leaked videos from the conservative watchdog group Project Veritas. Brusk stepped down after 20 years at the network.

Former CNN Legal Analyst Jeffrey Toobin is accused of impregnating his mistress and pressuring her into getting an abortion. In 2021, Toobin was caught masturbating while on a video Zoom work call with his colleagues who could see him. Toobin claimed that he believed he was off-camera. However, this excuse only made matters worse and failed to justify his conduct. It would still be sexual misconduct and deeply perverted to masterbate during a non-video work call with his colleagues.

Former CNN anchor Chris Cuomo was accused of playing an active role to smear women whom accused his brother of serious allegations of sexual harassment and sexual misconduct. Cuomo shamefully assisted in the sexual harassment media defense of his brothers. Chris has also been accused of sexual harrssment by Attorney Debra Katz who is representing an accuser against Cuomo. Following these allegations, Cuomo was fired by CNN.

Former CNN President Jeff Zucker resigned after the investigation into former employee Cuomo revealed that the media leader had a consensual, non-disclosed relationship with one of his colleagues, Allison Gollust. Sources say it was an “open secret” which has been going on for years, including while the two were married. Gollust reportedly rose through the ranks and received promotions while Zucker failed to disclose their personal intimacy and ongoing affair.

Former CNN host Don Lemon is facing serious sexual misconduct allegations from Dustin Hice, who filed a lawsuit against Lemon. Lemon, who is openly gay, is accused in the suit of committing sexual assault and battery at a bar on New York’s Long Island. The incident allegedly occurred in the summer of 2018.

Hice told Fox News that CNN is “a network rife with predators and perverts. Lemon will have to testify under oath in the near future, but it’s good to see that there’s finally some accountability happening,” he continued. Lemon allegedly putting his hand down the front of his shorts, “vigorously” rubbing his genitalia, and then allegedly shoved the same hand into Hice’s mustache area. Lemon is also accused of asking a vulgar question while putting his hand in Hice’s face.

CNN stood by Lemon in his defense, but the embattled host was ultimately fired as the network moved in a new direction. Hice says he’s looking for closure and peace of mind following what he describes as a horrific encounter. Referring to CNN, Hice alleged, “This is who they are. They’re a predator-protecting machine, they slander and smear victims with impunity.”

Hice told Fox News that he has turned down multiple settlement offers. “They’ve tried to grind me down, they’ve attempted to intimidate witnesses in my case, they’ve released confidential information about me in attempt to doxx me. They are complicit. This is who they are,” Hice said.
