More from Daily Caller:
Dallas County GOP Chairman Rodney Anderson admitted he had not consulted with Haley before transmitting the invitation, telling Politico that he had issued an apology to Haley and would be working to alter the wording on the invitation.
“It’s completely my fault,” he told the media outlet. “She’s glad to come help us raise money … but [2024 is] not what this is about.”
Haley has been coy about whether she has any presidential aspirations for the 2024 election year and has been accused by some of campaigning to replace Vice President Mike Pence as President Donald Trump’s running mate in 2020. Trump quashed that rumour during an interview Friday morning on “Fox & Friends.” She has emerged as a staunch defender of the president and has been highly critical of the impeachment process.
