Seemingly countless pictures and videos have come out in recent weeks of the unrest happening in Portland. Residents and out-of-state visitors are marching in the streets, blocking traffic, tearing down blockades and barriers around a courthouse.
And the list goes on: Attacks on police officers. Arson. Destruction. Vandalism. Full-blown riots.
These violent demonstrations have persisted for more than 50 days!
But, according to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, they are not even happening. The riots do not even exist. The destruction is fake, he claimed.
Is this the Twilight Zone?
Austen Fletcher of Flecca Talks, who according to the page’s bio “is telling the stories the MSM ignores,” ran into Nadler in Washington D.C., and asked him about the ongoing unrest.
Nadler, who represents a district in New York, was in full denial and said there is no rioting happening in Portland.
“Do you disavow Antifa?” Fletcher is seen in a video asking Nadler. “And what’s happening in Portland?”

“That’s a myth,” Nadler responded, “It’s only being spread in Washington D.C.”
“About Antifa and Portland?” Fletcher pressed.
“Yes,” Nadler said before being escorted away by a staffer.
“There’s videos everyone online. There’s fires. There’s riots. They’re throwing fireworks at federal officers,” Fletcher continued, pacing with Nadler to his car. “The DHS [Department of Homeland Security] is there.”
The top Democrat seemed to mumble before climbing into the car.

I ran into Jerry Nadler in DC and asked him to disavow the Antifa violence/rioting in Portland.

Notice: Nalder, who is advocating for a national mask mandate, is not wearing one.
I’ve been in DC for less than 2 hours and already caught NY Rep. Jerry Nadler not wearing his mask
He also said Antifa is a “myth”

Antifa is not a myth. They do exist. And, there are riots happening in Portland.
From the Portland Police Department:
On July 26, 2020 a crowd of several hundred people gathered along SW 3rd Avenue mostly concentrated outside the Mark O. Hatfield U.S. Courthouse. People blocked streets in the area around the courthouse. They spent hours yelling, chanting, banging on the fence and throwing objects over it.
At about 11:45 p.m. people began launching mortar-style fireworks over the fence. A short time later people climbed over the fence, entering the portico. At about that time a group lit a large fire in Lownsdale Square Park. People in the crowd continually picked at the fence. Some gathered with shields and umbrellas to cover a person trying to cut through it.
On July 27, 2020 at about 12:59 a.m. somebody started a fire just inside the fence along SW 3rd Avenue. The fire started quickly, grew into large flames on the sidewalk, and was out within about a minute. Following that, dozens of people approached the outside of the fence with shields and began throwing objects over it.

House Republican Party Leader Kevin McCarthy shared the exchange with Nadler online and confirmed Antifa exist.
“What’s happening in Portland is NOT ‘a peaceful protest’ as the mainstream media claims. Antifa is trying to destroy what America stands for. And elected Democrats like Jerry Nadler are fine with letting it happen,” he said.

This “Myth” is pretty realistic @JerryNadler

Antifa rioters are throwing Molotov cocktails toward federal officers at the courthouse. Earlier in the day, police found a cache of ready-made incendiary devices and fully loaded magazines. Video by @livesmattershow. #PortlandRiots pic.twitter.com/KFPyahZ8Er
