Sharon Stone Ignites Abortion Firestorm

Sharon Stone told Michelle Obama on the “IMO” podcast that she had a secret abortion at 18, and said that if men could get pregnant, abortion would be available from a machine.
She said the man involved “didn’t have any knowledge or information that I should have some kind of birth control,” and that she had no sexual experience. “Like when I tell you I could have been the girl who gave birth in the bathroom stall,” she said.
The line that traveled was the joke. “If men got pregnant, you could get [an abortion] from a vending machine,” Stone said. Obama laughed and answered that there would be a “birth Olympics.” “Exactly. If there would be the birth Olympics… men would film themselves going into labor and honoring their pain and, you know it would be…there would be trophies given, you know, ‘well done dude,’ ‘Bob, you did that without an epidural.’”
Stone then turned to current restrictions. “And now we don’t wanna give women care, OB-GYN care, and we wanna prosecute women for having a miscarriage? What kind of arcane b*****t is this?”
Laura Echevarria, communications director for National Right to Life, told Fox News Digital that vending machines are about convenience and abortion is about consequences. “Abortion is about consequences— it ends the life of an unborn child and can profoundly impact the mother. Reducing abortion to something dispensed on demand doesn’t elevate women; it trivializes both women and their children.”
She added, “We can and should advocate for excellent medical care for women without diminishing the value of their children. Women and their unborn children deserve compassion and support—not rhetoric that reduces abortion to the equivalent of purchasing a snack.”
Kelsey Pritchard of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America said Democrats “can’t defend their no-limits abortion-on-demand agenda, so they resort to cynical man-bashing.” She said that if they believed the rhetoric, “they would never allow dangerous abortion drugs to be sold anonymously online.”
