That project expanded her career beyond acting by giving her a prominent producing credit and reinforcing her growing involvement behind the camera.

In 2024, Sweeney entered the superhero-film world as Julia Cornwall in Sony’s “Madame Web,” appearing alongside Dakota Johnson, Isabela Merced and Celeste O’Connor.

She quickly followed that with the horror film “Immaculate,” in which she starred as Sister Cecilia and also worked as a producer, further strengthening her role in developing projects rather than simply acting in them.

Sweeney also appeared in Ron Howard’s “Eden,” joining an ensemble that included Jude Law, Ana de Armas, Daniel Brühl and Vanessa Kirby.

Her 2025 projects included “Echo Valley,” in which she played Claire opposite Julianne Moore, giving her another major dramatic role.
