Fox News Announces Karoline Leavitt Joining Network After Leaving White House

Fox News is adding former White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt to its lineup. Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott announced that Leavitt will join the network as an on-air contributor beginning Nov. 1. The 29-year-old will provide political commentary and analysis across Fox News Media programming.
Leavitt comes to the network after serving as White House press secretary during President Donald Trump’s second administration. She held the high-profile position from January 2025 until August 2026, regularly appearing before reporters to defend and explain the administration’s agenda. “Karoline’s firsthand experience in the White House and on the presidential campaign trail gives her a distinct understanding of today’s political landscape,” Scott said.
“We look forward to her providing our audience with authentic and sharp insight across all FOX News Media platforms,” she added.
Leavitt said she was excited to formally join the network after making numerous Fox News appearances during her time in politics.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to continue appearing on Fox News Channel as an official member of the extraordinary team at FOX News Media,” Leavitt said.
“I look forward to bringing my unique perspective from my experience as White House press secretary, along with the same energy and candor that defined my tenure, to Fox’s millions of viewers across their many platforms.”
Leavitt became one of the most visible figures in the Trump administration and earned national attention through her exchanges with members of the White House press corps.
Before entering the White House press briefing room, Leavitt worked as a spokesperson for MAGA Inc. and later joined Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign.
She subsequently became the youngest White House press secretary in U.S. history.
Her connection to Trump stretches back to his first administration, when she worked as a presidential writer and assistant press secretary.
Leavitt also entered electoral politics herself. In 2022, she was the Republican nominee for Congress in New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District.
She previously served as communications director for Rep. Elise Stefanik when Stefanik chaired the House Republican Conference.
Leavitt announced her departure from the White House in August, describing the decision as “bittersweet.”
She explained at the time that the demands of the press secretary position had become difficult to balance with raising her two young children.
Her move to television will allow her to remain involved in national political discussions while stepping away from the daily responsibilities of serving as the administration’s chief spokesperson.
The Fox News position also represents something of a return for Leavitt. While attending Saint Anselm College, where she studied politics and communication, she interned at Fox News during the 2016 presidential election.
A decade later, she will return to the network as an official contributor with experience inside both presidential campaigns and the White House. Leavitt lives in New Hampshire with her husband, Nick, and their two children. Her first appearances as an official Fox News contributor are expected after her role begins Nov. 1.
