An Iraqi national charged with multiple terrorism offenses allegedly plotted to kill Ivanka Trump in retaliation for the 2020 U.S. strike that killed Iranian commander Qasem Soleimani.
Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood Al-Saadi, 32, a senior member of the Iran-backed Kata’ib Hizballah militia, was arrested in Turkey earlier this month.
He was extradited to the U.S. Sources say he obtained blueprints of Ivanka Trump’s Florida residence and posted online threats against her and her family.
Al-Saadi is accused of coordinating or supporting nearly 20 terror attacks and attempted attacks in Europe and North America.
He is currently detained in Brooklyn.
