Actor Brad Pitt went on a politically charged rant in his Academy Award acceptance speech, Breitbart News reported.
Pitt criticized the Senate impeachment trial and joked about the absence of John Bolton from the proceedings as a witness, clearly suggesting Pitt’s opinion that he supports a further investigation into alleged high crimes and treason committed by the President.
President Trump was acquitted in the Senate impeachment trial, which followed after several months of inquiry hearings in the House that produce no evidence of crimes committed by Trump.
Pitt won the supporting actor award for Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
“They told me I only have 45 seconds up here, which is 45 seconds more than the Senate gave John Bolton this week,” Pitt said.
“I’m thinking maybe Quentin does a movie about it,” he continued. “In the end, the adults do the right thing.”
More from Breitbart:
Pitt thanked his co-star Leonardo DiCaprio, Tarantino, as well as the actors and directors who helped his career, including his Thelma & Louise co-star Geena Davis.

Ahead of the Oscars, Ricky Gervais criticized Hollywood’s lip service on equality and joked about their progressive views.
Gervais trolled Hollywood celebrities just hours ahead of Sunday’s Academy Awards. He anticipated what Hollywood will speak about in their acceptance speeches.
Gervais wrote about migrant workers, noting that many celebrities employ migrants in their homes to perform menial and backbreaking work.
Gervais’s Oscars trolling was in response to a hypothetical question posed to him on Twitter asking what jokes he would make if he were hosting the Oscars tonight.
This year’s Academy Awards will be hostless, marking the second year in a row that the show’s organizers have opted to do away with a host after Kevin Hart stepped down last year following the mainstream media’s efforts to destroy his career by digging up his old tweets.
Viewership of the Oscars has been on a downward trajectory as viewers tire of Hollywood’s political hectoring and non-stop bashing of President Donald Trump.
Ratings have fallen since 2014’s high of 43.7 million viewers. In 2018, the show only managed to draw an audience of 26.5 million, its biggest yearly decline.
In January, Gervais hosted the Golden Globes, ripping decorum to shreds by cracking jokes about virtue signaling celebrities, Apple sweatshops, and Harvey Weinstein.
