Attorney General Bill Barr has so far been shown himself to be a consummate professional, someone who not only strives to do what’s right, but someone who understands the job.
House Democrats have tried to play games with Barr, trying to make him look bad because they know he has a lot of investigations into everything behind the Russia hoax. And they’ve subpoenaed the Mueller report and all the underlying evidence, knowing full well that he’s turned over everything he can but that he can’t turn over secret grand jury testimony, by law.
Barr has shown tremendous strength of character. He’s also shown he wouldn’t back down after being bullied or smeared by the Democrats.
He showed that on Wednesday when he attended the National Peace Officers Memorial Service in Washington, D.C. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was also in attendance.
Barr went right up to her, shook hands and teased her, quipping, “Madam Speaker, did you bring your handcuffs?” Pelosi said that the Sergeant at Arms was there should an arrest be needed. Barr laughed and walked away.
How terrific is that? Like a boss.
