Trump Responds to Colbert’s Final CBS Show — It’s Perfect

President Donald Trump sharply reacted to the end of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, calling the host “like a dead person” on Truth Social.

“Colbert is finally finished at CBS. Amazing that he lasted so long! No talent, no ratings, no life… Thank goodness he’s finally gone!” Trump posted.

The series finale aired Thursday night at the Ed Sullivan Theatre, with Paul McCartney appearing as a special musical guest. Cameos also included Bryan Cranston, Paul Rudd, Tim Meadows, and Tig Notaro.

Colbert told the audience, “If you’re just tuning into the Late Show, you’ve missed a lot,” while acknowledging the show had sunk to new viewer lows.

CBS canceled the long-running program last July, days after Colbert called Paramount’s $16 million settlement with Trump a “big, fat bribe” related to the Skydance merger.
