Donald Trump, the president-elect, has appointed Monica Crowley to the roles of Ambassador, Assistant Secretary of State, and Chief of Protocol. In these positions, she will oversee significant international events during his upcoming term, notably the celebration of the United States’ 250th anniversary in 2026.
Trump praised her as a bestselling author and noted her prior experience as Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Public Affairs.
Trump stated, “Monica will be the Administration Representative for major U.S. hosted events, including America’s 250th Birthday in 2026, the FIFA World Cup in 2026, and the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028.”
Crowley, a prominent conservative commentator and Trump loyalist, has a background in international relations and will coordinate logistics for U.S. hosted events, including the FIFA World Cup and the Olympics.
Crowley said, “We have both houses of Congress.”
Crowley added, “We will have the White House, as well. And President Trump is entitled to select and shake up the U.S. and reform it.”
The appointment reflects Trump’s ongoing strategy of relying on media personalities who have remained loyal.
