Barron Trump Goes Viral On TikTok, Becomes Platform’s ‘Next Celebrity’

President-elect Donald Trump’s son Barron Trump recently gained widespread attention on TikTok due to an old video from 2010. The viral clip, from CNN’s “Larry King Live,” features a four-year-old Barron in a suit saying, “I like my suitcase!” in a strong Slovenian accent.

TikTok users have since created tens of thousands of videos under #ilikemysuitcase, lip-syncing to Barron’s phrases.

Now a freshman at New York University’s Stern School of Business, Barron has drawn attention on campus, with students sharing sightings of him attending classes.

Barron has reportedly played a major behind-the-scenes role in shaping his father’s 2024 campaign by recommending popular podcasts to reach younger voters. The 18-year-old rarely appeared on the campaign trail but was credited with suggesting platforms like Adin Ross’ stream, Theo Von’s podcast, and The Joe Rogan Experience.

Trump said, “He’ll tell me sometimes, ‘Dad, this is what you have to do.’”

Trump’s podcast appearances drew millions of views, including more than 14 million with Theo Von and over 6 million with Andrew Schulz, boosting Trump’s visibility among Gen Z and millennials.

Campaign adviser Jason Miller praised Barron’s podcast picks, calling them “ratings gold,” while Trump noted his son’s growing interest in politics and strategic advice.

Miller stated, “Barron has been very involved in recommending a number of the podcasts that we should do.”

Miller said, “I got to tell you, hats off to the young man. Every single recommendation he’s had has turned out to be absolute ratings gold that’s broke the internet.”

Miller added, “When you look at the impact of podcasts or YouTube shows — non-traditional media — part of the thing is you’re meeting voters where they’re at.”
