Anti-Israel protesters arrested in Senate office building

On Tuesday, demonstrators advocating for “Free Palestine” were taken into custody during a protest held inside the Philip A. Hart Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C.

The protesters, many wearing red T-shirts that read “STOP ARMING ISRAEL,” called for an end to the conflict in Gaza between Israel and Hamas.

Some demonstrators threw sticky notes and hung banners expressing their demands from various floors of the building.

While police arrested at least three protesters, the total number of arrests remains unclear.

The protest coincided with ongoing tensions in Gaza, sparked by Hamas’s attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.
