BREAKING: Would-Be Trump Shooter’s Son Arrested For Hundreds of Child Porn Images

Ryan Wesley Routh was taken into custody for allegedly trying to shoot former President Donald Trump while he was armed with a rifle at the Trump International Golf Course in Florida.

Routh Sr. has been charged with removing the serial number on a rifle as well as attempting to assassinate Trump. Cell phone records show he laid for up to 12 hours before Trump crossed into his line of sight.

Authorities discovered a handwritten note from Routh that read: “This was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump but I failed you. I tried my best and gave it all the gumption I could muster. It is up to you now to finish the job; and I will offer $150,000 to whomever can complete the job.”

His son, Oran Routh, was also arrested in North Carolina for possessing hundreds of child pornography images on his devices, discovered during an unrelated investigation into his father’s actions.

Authorities told ABC a search of his property was conducted “in connection with an investigation unrelated to child exploitation.”

Oran faces charges of receipt and possession of child pornography and is expected to appear in federal court soon.

“A review of the SD card located in Device-1 revealed that it contained hundreds of child p*rnography files,” prosecutors wrote. “These files include videos from a known child p*rnography series created outside the state of North Carolina.”

The investigation into Ryan Routh revealed a handwritten note indicating an assassination attempt on Trump.
