Mexican national Michelle Angelica Pineda, known as “La Chely”, was arrested in El Paso, Texas for her involvement in multiple murders in Mexico.

Pineda was wanted by Mexican authorities for five homicides and suspected in others in Ciudad Juarez.

She was known for extreme brutality including dismemberment and placing hearts at altars of Santa Muerte.

Task forces discovered she had entered the US illegally to run a drug trafficking operation for the Mexican gang “Artistas Assessino”.

Her motel room contained guns, drugs and machetes.

She was ultimately deported by US Customs and handed over to Mexican authorities to be tried for her crimes.

The FBI praised the partnership between agencies for removing the violent assassin from US streets and preventing further harm.

“Today’s deportation highlights the swift action of our agents and our significant partnerships by successfully taking a violent assassin off our streets and putting her back into the hands of Mexican law enforcement to be tried for her crimes,” FBI El Paso special agent John Morales said. “Working hand-in-hand with our partners whether in law enforcement, the private sector, and with foreign law enforcement agencies is paramount in order to keep people like Pineda from bringing violence and drugs into our lives and poisoning our communities.”
