The End Is Near: Hunter Biden’s Gun Case Is Scheduled

via C-SPAN

Hunter Biden is scheduled to go on trial June 3rd for federal gun charges. He is accused of making false statements on a form when purchasing a handgun in 2018, by denying he was an unlawful user or addicted to controlled substances.

The maximum 9-day trial would include jury selection and time for the prosecution and defense to present their cases.

Hunter also faces separate tax charges in California scheduled for June 20th, though the gun trial date could be pushed back as the special counsel said that trial may take several weeks.

Hunter faces a total maximum prison time for the charges could be up to 25 years. Each count carries a maximum fine of $250,000, and three years of supervised release.

Hunter has pleaded not guilty to both cases while his lawyers have sought to get all charges dismissed.

He had initially agreed to a plea deal last year that was rejected by the judge over alleged lies by Hunter’s attorneys and its protection from other tax violations.

A years-long investigation is finally moving forward after Hunter allegedly made a false statement on a federal form in order to purchase a handgun.

He also faces on count of possession of a firearm by a person who is an unlawful user of or addicted to a controlled substance. Hunter was kicked out of the U.S. Navy for his addiction to cocaine.
