Woman who stole Biden daughter’s diary skips sentencing, threatened with arrest

via Today Show

Aimee Harris, who admitted to stealing President Biden’s daughter’s diary and helping sell it to conservative activists, could face arrest if she fails to submit financial documents to the court by Friday.

Harris has twice postponed her sentencing for conspiring to transport stolen property, citing childcare issues.

If she does not provide the documents, the judge said she will issue a warrant for Harris’ arrest.

“I hope I don’t have to,” U.S. District Judge Laura Swain said. “Neither you nor your children needs the United States Marshals looking for you, finding you and bringing you to New York.”

Prosecutors had sought 6 months of house arrest, while Harris requested probation.

“While the substance of Harris’ political views is of no relevance to this case, the manner in which she advanced them was far outside of lawful political activism of any kind,” prosecutors wrote.

Harris stole Ashley Biden’s diary, photos and items after staying at a home where Biden stored possessions, then enlisted Robert Kurlander to sell them to Project Veritas for $20,000 each, indicating a desire to harm Biden’s 2020 campaign.

Kurlander will also be sentenced.
