Billionaire investor Nelson Peltz plans to back former President Donald Trump’s bid for the White House in 2022, expressing reservations about President Biden.
While Peltz has supported both parties previously, he now cites the situation at the southern border and Biden’s “really scary mental condition” at age 81.
“It will probably be Trump and I’m not happy about that,” he said.

Peltz told the Financial Times he hasn’t decided whether to financially support Trump, though they live near each other in Florida.
Peltz noted that he hasn’t interacted with the former President “in quite a while.”
Separately, Peltz is waging a boardroom battle with Disney CEO Bob Iger, accusing Disney of losing its way under Iger and his predecessor through wokeness that has led to box office flops and losses in streaming.
