A former aide to Melania Trump, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, commented on Melania’s absence from Donald Trump’s Super Tuesday victory party in 2022.
Wolkoff claimed Melania did not attend because she “did not have to be” there as his supporters would not care about her presence.
“WARNING. Melania Trump was NOT at Donald’s victory party because she did NOT have to be,” Wolkoff wrote.
“His supporters do NOT care if she is by his side or NOT, so now she does NOT have to be. NOThing more, NOThing less.”
On social media, some speculated this indicated the Trumps’ marriage lacked emotional connection and Melania wanted to distance herself from the White House.
“It’s probably more that she can’t stand to be around him anymore than she has to be,” one X user wrote.
Others suggested their marriage was always a business arrangement.
“The pay offered, was not high enough,” another wrote.
“Melania probably demands exorbitant personal appearance fees,” another said.
“We all know his marriage is a sham, and his wife can’t stand him,” one user wrote.
Melania’s continued absence from campaign events fueled ongoing rumors about the state of her relationship with Donald Trump and her willingness to be involved in his 2024 presidential bid.
While Trump insisted Melania supported his initiatives, she did not publicly validate his comments, leaving questions about her role unanswered.
“[Donald’s] family was very involved in the past two campaigns for president, so I’d think they would be involved again. From a distance, it seems that Melania became less enthusiastic about this role as the controversies and the scandals mounted, so I don’t know how involved she’ll want to be this time around,” an inside source stated.
