Biden’s Relative Received Presidential Pardon After Bloody Crime

via CBS

President Joe Biden has the power to pardon criminals and has utilized this authority for numerous convicted individuals.

Recently, it was discovered that Biden’s great-great-grandfather, Moses J. Robinette, was involved in a court-martial case during the Civil War.

Robinette, a civilian employee of the Union Army, got into a fight, leading to his arrest and conviction.

“I had no malice towards Mr. Alexander before or since. He grabbed me and possibly might have injured me seriously had I not resorted to the means that I did,” Robinette reportedly said.

However, he was ultimately pardoned by President Abraham Lincoln in 1864.

Despite his tumultuous past, Robinette’s legacy is now tied to his descendant, President Joe Biden.
