C.J. Stroud’s Heartwarming Gesture: Super Bowl Trip Gifted to Marine Corps Veteran

via Houston Texans

C.J. Stroud, the former Ohio State quarterback, has partnered with USAA and the Air & Space Forces Association to send Marine Corps veteran Craig Mazeska and his son to the Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas.

Mazeska, a Purple Heart recipient, served in the Marine Corps from 1988-94 and was involved in overseas missions during the Gulf War.

Stroud said in a USAA statement, “Beyond football, my family is one of the most influential parts of my life, and I especially appreciate the lessons learned from my loved ones who have served in the military.”

“Like some in my family, Marine Corps veteran Sergeant Craig Mazeska selflessly served our country, so I’m honored to join USAA and the Air & Space Forces Association to send Sergeant Mazeska and his son to the Super Bowl in Las Vegas, where I look forward to meeting them,” the statement continued.

After his military career, Mazeska became a teacher and school counselor.

He plans to attend the Super Bowl with his son and hopes to meet Stroud before the game.
