Ex-Prosecutor Spots Judge’s ‘Remarkable’ Warning To Donald Trump Jurors

via CBS News

Former federal prosecutor Andrew Weissmann highlighted a “remarkable” moment during E. Jean Carroll’s defamation trial against Donald Trump, where the judge warned jurors against revealing their involvement due to fears of retribution.

Weissmann compared this to a similar warning in a case involving the former boss of the Genovese family.

Trump was ordered to pay $83.3 million in damages for defamation, following allegations of sexual abuse and defamation by Carroll.

“It is remarkable that that same admonition was said with respect to somebody who was the president of the United States,” Weissmann said.

“That is the last time I heard that admonition being given.”
