TV Host Andy Cohen Swindled In Costly Bank Scam

Andy Cohen, the host of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” was scammed by an imposter pretending to be from his bank.

He shared his story to raise awareness about imposter scams, which are the most common type of fraud reported in the U.S.

Cohen fell victim to a phishing email and unknowingly gave scammers access to his bank account.

He received fraudulent text messages and phone calls, leading to significant money being wired out of his account.

Cohen advised people to verify sender email addresses, avoid acting under pressure, and be cautious of unsolicited calls or requests for personal information.

He also recommended using antivirus software, creating strong passwords, and regularly updating devices to protect against cyber threats.
