An investigation by POLITICO revealed connections between Turkish business people with ties to KSK Construction and contributions to Mayor Eric Adams’ campaigns.
The discovery has shed light on deeper connections between Adams’ campaign and the Turkish community, raising concerns about potential collusion with the Turkish government.

The investigation focuses on donations from individuals connected to KSK, with questions arising about potential straw donations and compliance with campaign finance laws.
The mayor and his team have maintained innocence, emphasizing cooperation with law enforcement agencies.
“Where there’s smoke there’s not always fire. Listen, I make sure that we have real compliance. I spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to make sure that it’s done correctly, and we are going to comply with any (law enforcement) review,” Adams said.
“And if anyone did something that’s inappropriate outside of our compliance procedures, the law enforcement agencies will determine that.”
“We cannot comment on the details of a federal investigation and an ongoing audit — but we are confident all rules and laws were followed,” Adams’ campaign compliance attorney, Vito Pitta said.
