A 30-year-old man from New Hampshire has been arrested for threatening a presidential candidate and attendees of a campaign event via text message.

Although the DOJ did not identify the candidate, it was reported that Republican tech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy was the target.

The threatening messages were in response to an invitation for a campaign event, and the suspect could face up to five years in prison if convicted. (Trending: Tucker Carlson Reveals ‘Secret’ Project He’s Been Working On For Months)

On December 8, after receiving a text message about an event in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, the suspect allegedly responded, “Great, another opportunity for me to blow his brains out!”

Additionally, the suspect reportedly texted, “I’m going to kill everyone who attends and then —- their corpses.”

The man allegedly sent threatening messages to a different candidate at an earlier date.

According to court documents, the suspect also contacted a different candidate and wrote that he wanted to “blow that b——’s head off.”

Also reportedly writing, “Thanks, I’ll see you there. Hope you have the stamina for a mass shooting!” to that candidate.

Ramaswamy’s campaign expressed gratitude to law enforcement and announced a series of events throughout New Hampshire.

“We are grateful to law enforcement for their swiftness and professionalism in handling this matter and pray for the safety of all Americans,” said Ramaswamy campaign spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin.
