Rudy Giuliani Trial To Begin Over Lies About Georgia Election Workers

via CNN

Rudy Giuliani is facing trial for defamation against two Georgia election workers, Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, with potential damages ranging from $15.5 million to $43 million.

Giuliani previously admitted to lying about the pair while representing Trump, leading to severe consequences for the women.

The trial, expected to last a week, will involve testimony from all parties. (Trending: Hunter Biden’s Own Memoir Is Coming Back To Haunt Him In Criminal Trial)

“I’ve lost my name and I’ve lost my reputation,” said Freeman.

“Do you know how it feels to have the president of the United States target you?” she continued.

“I’ve lost my sense of security — all because a group of people, starting with Number 45 and his ally Rudy Giuliani, decided to scapegoat me and my daughter, Shaye, to push their own lies about how the presidential election was stolen,” she added.

Giuliani reportedly missed a court appearance last week, which upset the judge.

“How could you have missed that?” Judge Beryl Howell asked Giuliani’s defense team.

“It sets the tone, doesn’t it, for the whole case,” she added.

Giuliani’s legal troubles also include a Georgia indictment related to the 2020 election and a separate lawsuit from his former attorneys.
