Should Israel Agree To A Ceasefire?

via The Wall Street Journal

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called for a cease-fire between Israel and Gaza, and has condemned Israel’s retaliation to the Hamas attacks, referring to Hamas as a “liberation group.”

Erdogan went on to describe Israel’s siege as being among the “bloodiest, most disgusting and most savage attacks in history.”

YES 👍 or NO 👎

“We have no problem with the Israeli state, but we never have, and never will, accept the atrocities committed by Israel and the fact that it acts as an organization rather than a state,” Erdogan stated.

“All sides must pull their fingers off the trigger, a cease-fire must be declared,” he added.

Calls for a “ceasefire” have become popular among Democrats and anti-Israel foreign leaders because it only helps Hamas terrorists.

In contrast, Israel has vowed to destroy and eliminate Hamas terrorists by launching a counterattack.

Palestinian Hamas terrorists killed over 1,400 innocent civilians, including 33 Americans. An estimated 150 people were taken hostage, including possibly 13 Americans who remain missing.

IDF Lieutenant Colonel Richard Hecht said the Hamas music festival massacre “is the largest number of Jews killed in one day since the Holocaust.”

In Gaza, the death toll climbed to 2,329 Palestinians killed and 9,714 wounded, according to Reuters. In the West Bank, 54 were recorded dead and 1,100 wounded since the conflict between Hamas and Israel started on Oct. 7.

Palestinian Hamas terrorist notoriously used their own people as human shields, including women and children. The terror group also kills Palestinians who attempt to flee.

This makes it incredibly difficult for Israel to defend itself while avoiding innocent casualties.

Israel has repeatedly warned innocent civilians, as well as women and children, to evacuate the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli military is preparing tens of thousands of soldiers to capture Gaza City and destroy Hamas’ current leadership.

Three senior Israeli military officers outlined the unclassified details about the counterattack. IDF says its main goal is to destroy the top political and military hierarchy of Hamas.

The assault is expected to be Israel’s “biggest ground operation since it invaded Lebanon in 2006.”

This also the first time that Israel has attempted to capture land and at least briefly hold onto it since its invasion of Gaza in 2008.
