The State Department confirmed that 30 American citizens have been killed in Israel during the country’s war with Hamas.

13 American citizens are currently missing and are likely being held hostage.

“At this time, we can confirm the deaths of 30 U.S. citizens,” the statement read. “We extend our deepest condolences to the victims and to the families of all those affected.” (Trending: Famous Actor Attacks Trump Supporters)

“The U.S. government is working around the clock to determine their whereabouts and is working with the Israeli government on every aspect of the hostage crisis, including sharing intelligence and deploying experts from across the United States government to advise the Israeli government on hostage recovery efforts,” the statement added.

“We are not commenting further on the circumstances of the U.S. citizen deaths or the identities of the deceased at this time,” the State Department said.

“At this time, we are also aware of 15 U.S. citizens who are unaccounted-for, as well as one lawful permanent resident. State Department personnel have been in contact with their families.”

“The U.S. government is working around the clock to determine their whereabouts and is working with the Israeli government on every aspect of the hostage crisis, including sharing intelligence and deploying experts from across the United States government to advise the Israeli government on hostage recovery efforts,” the spokesperson continued.

“For privacy and security reasons, we have nothing further to share,” the spokesperson added.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken is visiting Israel in hopes of addressing the currently undetermined amount of American citizens being held hostage by Hamas terrorists.

The State Department released news of the trip this week, with no word on the imprisoned Americans.

It’s speculated that 20 Americans may be held hostage as they are currently reported missing. (Trending: Joe Biden’s 2024 Chances Are Officially Dead)

“Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken will travel to Israel and Jordan October 11-13, 2023, where he will meet with senior officials,” the report said.

“The Secretary will reiterate his condolences for the victims of the terrorist attacks against Israel and condemn those attacks in the strongest terms.”

“The Secretary will also reaffirm the United States’ solidarity with the government and people of Israel. He will also discuss measures to bolster Israel’s security and underscore the United States’ unwavering support for Israel’s right to defend itself.”

President Joe Biden spoke earlier this week, recognizing that Americans are among those being imprisoned. (Trending: Why Is Biden Giving Amnesty to 700,000 Migrants?)

“I’ve directed my team to share intelligence and deploy additional experts from across the United States government to consult with and advise the Israeli counterparts on hostage recover — recovery efforts, because as president I have no higher priority than the safety of Americans being held hostage around the world.”

20 or more Americans are missing thus far, according to National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan.

“I continue to follow, with pain and apprehension, what is happening in Israel and Palestine. So many people killed, and others wounded,” Pope Francis said.

“I pray for those families who saw a feast day turn into a day of mourning, and I ask that the hostages be immediately released,” Pope Francis recently stated.
