Israel has launched a counterattack after Palestinian Hamas killed over 1,300 innocent civilians, including 29 Americans. An estimated 150 people were taken hostage, including possibly 14 Americans who remain missing.

“You’re about to see Israel do what it does best: rescue good people. So stand by,” former Israeli special operator Aaron Cohen said.

IDF Lieutenant Colonel Richard Hecht said the Hamas music festival massacre “is the largest number of Jews killed in one day since the Holocaust.”
“What we need is what Israel does best,” Cohen explained. “They come together, they’re creative. They’ve got the intestinal fortitude. They’ve got the experience.”
“Right now thousands of phone calls are being listened to,” he added, in reference to the rescue mission.
Israel has targeted known Hamas locations with its airstrikes and missiles.
Palestinian Hamas terrorists notoriously use their own people as human shields, including women and children. This makes it incredibly difficult for Israel to defend itself while avoiding innocent casualties.
In Gaza, the death toll climbed to 2,329 Palestinians killed and 9,714 wounded, according to Reuters. In the West Bank, 54 were recorded dead and 1,100 wounded since the conflict between Hamas and Israel started on Oct. 7.

Three senior Israeli military officers outlined the unclassified details about the counterattack. IDF says its main goal is to destroy the top political and military hierarchy of Hamas.
Hamas is a Palestinian terror group that currently controls Gaza. The assault is expected to be Israel’s “biggest ground operation since it invaded Lebanon in 2006.”
This also the first time that Israel has attempted to capture land and at least briefly hold onto it since its invasion of Gaza in 2008.
