Russian influencer Zhanna D’Art, whose full name was Zhanna Samsonova, has died of suspected starvation at 39, according to Newsweek and the NY Post.

The official cause of death has not been declared. Friends and family also suggest her passing may be due to a “cholera-like infection.”

🚨 POLL: Will you try a vegan diet?
YES 👍 or NO 👎

D’Art gained popularity on social media for promoting raw foods and raw veganism, which is a subset of the plant-based diet. She was known to millions of viewers on TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram. (Trending: Fauci Gets The Worst News of His Career)

The Russian national reportedly died on July 21 after finally seeking medical treatment during a tour in Southeast Asia. “A few months ago, in Sri Lanka, she already looked exhausted, with swollen legs oozing lymph,” one unidentified friend said. “They sent her home to seek treatment. However, she ran away again. When I saw her in Phuket, I was horrified.”

“I lived one floor above her and every day I feared finding her lifeless body in the morning. I convinced her to seek treatment, but she didn’t make it,” the friend said. Samsonova’s mother believes her daughter suffered an infection.

D’Art says she ate a “completely raw vegan diet” for the last four years. This means she only consumed “fruits, sunflower seed sprouts, fruit smoothies, and juices.”

“I see my body and mind transform every day,” Samsonova once explained. “I love my new me, and never move on to the habits that I used to use. I eat simple food, although I have a lot of experience as a raw food chef. I love creating my own recipes and inspiring people to eat healthier.” (Trending: CNN’s Response To Joe Biden’s Corruption Is Jaw-Dropping)

Many people believe her diet is partly to blame for her death. “You don’t need to be a doctor to understand where this will lead,” one friend told the media.

It’s important to consult a doctor about your diet. A raw foods diet can improve weight loss, heart health, and risk of diabetes. However, a strict regiment can include significant deficiencies in calcium and Vitamin D, which are needed for strong bones.

The diet can reportedly decrease B12 levels and result in anemia, nervous system damage, infertility, and heart disease. A recent study published in Journal of Nutrition found that 100% of participants on a raw vegan diet ingested less than the recommended amount of daily vitamins.

This diet has been the subject of serious legal matters in the U.S. Last year, an 18-month-old boy died of starvation after only receiving small fruits and vegetables. 38-year-old mother Sheila O’Leary of Florida was sentence to life in prison in the case.
