President Joe Biden traveled to Philadelphia in the key battleground state of Pennsylvania to promote his economic agenda and gain support from organized labor. The visit to his hometown was also a chance to relax and recharge as he faces mounting political pressure in recent months.
After delivering a speech that touts his “Bidenomics” plan, Biden appeared to be lost as he needed directions to leave the stage.
“A confused Joe Biden wraps up his speech in Philadelphia, immediately asks for directions off the stage,” the Republican National Committee (RNC) wrote to Twitter. WATCH:

President Biden is no stranger to committing gaffes and appearing disoriented in public. A recent poll from NBC found that the majority of Americans (68%) believe Biden does not have the mental and physical health to serve as president.
The poll also found that a staggering 43 percent of Democrats believe Biden is not mentally and physically healthy to serve as president. This concern among Democrats has doubled since 2020. Prior to 2020, just one in five Democrats were concerned about Biden’s mental acuity.
NBC found that 89% of Republicans agree that Biden does not have the cognitive abilities to be president.
During his speech, Biden is accused of falsely claiming that he has lowered the deficit by $1.7 trillion. Fact-checkers note this reduction was due to the automatic expiration of COVID-19 relief while Biden’s policies have raised the deficit.
Biden again falsely claims he "lowered the federal deficit by $1.7 trillion in the first two years."
He's lying — again. Moody's Analytics says "the actions of the [Biden] administration and Congress have undoubtedly resulted in higher deficits, not smaller ones." pic.twitter.com/RzGStiWWD4

Biden’s confusion on stage in Philadelphia sparked a wave of comments and reactions. “Biden did well today. He successfully navigated THREE steps,” one person sarcastically remarked. “So proud!”
“Totally in a state of confusion. GOD help us all!” another person said. “This is embarrassing,” a third person reacted.
Biden’s speech in Philadelphia was intended to support “Bidenomics,” which is his plan to invest in infrastructure, clean energy, and manufacturing. The stage and backdrop were decorated with signs that read “Bidenomics”.
80-year-old Biden visited the Philly Shipyard, which is building a ship that will support offshore wind projects. This was an opportunity for Biden to claim his economic plan is creating jobs in the clean energy sector.
The president has been meeting with union leaders in recent months as he seeks their support for his re-election campaign. The Philly Shipyard is a union shop and an opportunity for Biden to show his support for organized labor.
