Despite widespread backlash, Jason Aldean’s song “Try That in a Small Town” has skyrocketed to number one on iTunes.

Outspoken liberal critics claim the song is “racist” and a “pro-lynching song.” In the music video, Aldean sing as news media companies provide coverage of the violent 2020 “Black Lives Matter” (BLM) riots that caused a record-setting $2 billion in damages to American cities, according to the Insurance Information Institute.

Country superstar Sheryl Crow called the song “lame” and Country Music Television (CMT) pulled the musician’s music video from circulation.

On social media, Aldean responded, “In the past 24 hours I have been accused of releasing a pro-lynching song (a song that has been out since May) and was subject to the comparison that I (direct quote) was not too pleased with the nationwide BLM protests.”

“These references are not only meritless, but dangerous. There is not a single lyric in the song that references race or points to it- and there isn’t a single video clip that isn’t real news footage -and while I can try and respect others to have their own interpretation of a song with music- this one goes too far.”

He continued, “As so many pointed out, I was present at Route 91-where so many lost their lives- and our community recently suffered another heartbreaking tragedy. NO ONE, including me, wants to continue to see senseless headlines or families ripped apart.”

“Try That In A Small Town, for me, refers to the feeling of a community that I had growing up, where we took care of our neighbors, regardless of differences of background or belief,” Aldean explained. “Because they were our neighbors, and that was above any differences. My political views have never been something I’ve hidden from, and I know that a lot of us in this Country don’t agree on how we get back to a sense of normalcy where we go at least a day without a headline that keeps us up at night.”

“But the desire for it to- that’s what this song is about,” he concluded.

“Twist everything you can to fit your repulsive narrative,” Brittany responded in a message to social media. “Never apologize for speaking the truth. Media — It’s the same song and dance. How about instead of creating stories, we focus on the REAL ones such as CHILD TRAFFICKING? Food for thought.”

In the song, Aldean references liberal BLM protesters by singing about how they assaulted police officers and stomped on the American flag.

“Cuss out a cop spit in his face / stomp on the flag and light it up,” Aldean sings.

Information from property and casualty insurers found that BLM protests caused $2 billion in paid damage claims. However, this does not include the cost of uninsured losses, which could be significant. In defense of BLM protests, the mainstream media has repeatedly claimed that many protests were peaceful.

Despite the left-wing backlash, Aldean remains as one of the most successful country music artists of all time. His recent success is a testament to his staying power. In the past year, Aldean has released two chart-topping albums, “Macon, Georgia” and “9,” and he has scored several number-one singles, including “If I Didn’t Love You” with Carrie Underwood and “Trouble With a Heartbreak.”

Aldean’s success is due in part to his ability to connect with his fans. His songs are often about real-life experiences, and he delivers them with a raw emotion that resonates with listeners. Aldean is also a gifted performer, and his live shows are always high-energy and entertaining.

In addition to his commercial success, Aldean is also a respected figure in the country music community. He has won numerous awards, including Entertainer of the Year at the CMA Awards and ACM Awards. Aldean is also a member of the Grand Ole Opry, one of the most prestigious honors in country music.

Aldean’s recent success is a sign that he is still going strong after more than 15 years in the music business. He is one of the most popular and successful country music artists in the world, and his fans can expect to hear more great music from him for years to come.
