“The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg revealed on live television that she spent the 4th of July weekend struggling with serious health issues.
As a result of serious back pain, Goldberg says she has become immobile and has been unable to feed herself.
When asked about 4th of July weekend, Goldberg responded, “I nursed my back. I was not very mobile. People came to see me. People fed me.”
“People took care of me, got me to the bathroom. You know, those are the things that are important,” she added.
At 67 years old, Goldberg’s health has appeared to deteriorate at an alarming rate. “You know, when you’re just trying to get to the bathroom, and it’s way over there, and you’re thinking, ‘aw, c’mon!’”
Goldberg continued, “My back said, ‘Psst! Psst! Try to get up.’ And my back was like, ‘Yeah. This is our message to you.’”

Goldberg was unable to stand. “I’ve tried everything. It is simply that my body is saying, ‘You’ve overdone, and you need to sit down.’”
“I don’t sit down. I’m not a big sitter,” she explained. “I’m moving and doing stuff. But I got the message. Now, when my body does this, I stop. It was really good for me,” she concluded.
Goldberg, who is a Democrat, has been the center of significant controversy in recent years for using the daytime talk show “The View” to spread her controversial political views.
In 2022, Goldberg was suspended from “The View” for two weeks after she made controversial remarks about the Holocaust. She said that the Holocaust was “not about race” but was instead about “man’s inhumanity to man.”
Goldberg later apologized for her remarks, saying that she was “wrong” and that she had “learned a lot” from the experience. Despite the controversy, Goldberg remains a popular figure among Democrats as well as an outspoken critic of the 2024 Republican frontrunner, former President Donald Trump.
