The biblical drama “The Chosen” has people rushing to get tickets for the season finale.
Dallas Jenkins, the creator of the show, announced that the final episodes of season three could be seen in theaters soon.
As a result of the announcement, people rushed to the Fathom website.
The show’s Facebook page said, “Unfortunately, the demand for tickets for “The Chosen” season finale crashed the Fathom Events website.”
Fathom Events CEO Ray Nutt said the website did shut down, but it was quickly up and running again. The up-and-running website was ready for “tens of thousands of fans” to purchase tickets.

Nutt said, “After reading the comments from fans on social media, it is evident that they are very excited about seeing episodes 7 & 8 in theaters with their friends and family.”
The show is telling viewers that its “stunning conclusion” “demands to be seen on the big screen.”
The faith-based Angel Studios will be available on “The Chosen” app free of charge.

In the finale, viewers will see Jesus perform the miracle of feeding the 5,000, which Jenkins said was, by far, the biggest thing we’ve ever done.”
According to “The Chosen” website, this faith-based show became the largest crowdfunding media project in history, with more than 16,000 people contributing to its production.
The show has had success in both streamings and in theaters.
Fathom Events said that “Fathom’s top two best-selling events have come from “The Chosen,” with “Christmas with The Chosen: The Messengers,” grossing over $13.5 million in 2021.”
“Season 3, Episodes 1 & 2 of “The Chosen,” grossed over $14 million, placing second in the gross box office on its opening weekend.”
