President Trump’s younger brother, Robert Trump, has passed away at age 72, CNN reports.

Robert died Saturday at a New York hospital, Donald Trump announced in a statement.

President Trump said, “It is with heavy heart I share that my wonderful brother, Robert, peacefully passed away tonight. He was not just my brother, he was my best friend. He will be greatly missed, but we will meet again. His memory will live on in my heart forever.

“Robert, I love you. Rest in peace,” the President concluded.

President Trump visited his brother in New York, which was a last-minute decision, CNN reports.

On Friday, Trump said, “I have a wonderful brother. We have a great relationship for a long time, from day one, so long time ago. And he’s in the hospital right now.”

Robert reportedly was hospitalized with an undisclosed serious condition.

Robert Trump was born in 1948 and was one of four siblings to the President.

Robert was a former top executive at the Trump Organization and married Ann Marie Pallan earlier this year and was previously married to Blaine (Beard) Trump.
